Arijit Singh is an Indian singer who was born on 25 April 1987 in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal. He did his schooling at Raja Bijay Singh High School and completed his graduation at Sripat Singh College, affiliated with the University of Kalyani.
Arijit began his singing career as a participant in the reality show, Fame Gurukul but got eliminated early. He then participated in another reality show 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil and won. He received widespread recognition only after the release of ” Tum Hi Ho” and ” Chahun Main Ya Naa” in 2013. He was also declared as the most-streamed Indian artist of the year 2020 by Spotify.
Arijit got married to Koyel Roy, his neighbour and childhood friend in 2014. The couple has been blessed with two children.
