Neha Kakkar is an Indian singer who was born on 6 June 1988 in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. She was born and brought up in an underprivileged environment and lived in a rented, single-room house with her entire family. At the age of four, Neha started performing live, at local gatherings and religious events in the hope to contribute to the family and improve their living conditions.
Neha participated in the second season of the singing reality show, Indian Idol in which she was eliminated early, but her constant efforts and determination led her to achieve great heights and a few years later, she was offered to judge the same show.
